I've been struggling…finally sharing

I’m just been really struggling lately. Things could always be so much worse, but I still thought I’d share some details of what’s been going on. Maybe it’ll make you (or others watching) feel not so alone. Life isn’t perfect and we all deal with something!! I’m so thankful for you all though…truly!!!

I just listened to your video. I had problems with my front teeth, you can imagine. I broke the back of the one tooth on a potato chip. Freak accident. So naturally I had to fix both teeth to make them look aesthetically correct. I had veneers put on. The dentist is well respected for his artistic work. He felt he did a wonderful job. I went back because they did not sit right and he looked at them and said there is nothing wrong. I went back to him 3 times before I realized he would not ever fix his work. My Bottom teeth started to shift and move and now I have spaces where I never had spaces before. It is because he did not file the teeth down for a correct bit and my bottom teeth were hitting hard on the top teeth. I moved to South Carolina and went to a dentist and he knew right away what was happening. He fixed my teeth over about a two year period. But my bite will never be the same. Lucky for me it is not a visible problem. but I know that my teeth do not sit correctly and I feel it every time I bite. I used to chew and accidentally catch my lower lip in the space between my bottom teeth and this happened ever since the original dentist never fixed his problem, a simple problem at that. I finally last month caught my lip and I bit it hard. I kept biting it trying to get it off. It finally came off and my lip is not longer protruding inside with a white scar.
I know you are not asking for suggestions. But I am going to give one one. See another dentist and find out why you are have problems. I know you love your dental team but sometimes it takes another trained eye to understand the problem. I went to 2 dentists in MA before moving and both of them could not figure out why I was having problems. So they said I was too particular. Well Yea, it my mouth. I am particular but when a problem does not go away you seek another Dr. who may be able to help you. That is my suggestion to you. You may find that someone can help. Maybe you need supplements to make your bones stronger. Maybe a nerve was hit and is giving you trouble. A pain Dr. can take care of that for you. With botox injections. My sister gets botox injections for headaches. There are so many things out there. Not one Dr. has all the answers. It sounds miserable and I hope you find the cure. Your teeth should not hurt. Love your videos! Get well!

Have you been tested for celiac disease? Years ago I was in the same situation, I went to the dentist and all the sudden had 14 cavities, 12 of which needed root canals. Months later I was diagnosed with celiac disease and that caused all my teeth to decay and have all these issues! Go get tested, it may be you issue and help you resolve your body attacking your teeth! Good luck❤️

you’re not alone, I also had two amazing pregnancies but ppd hit me hard. It Tok this entire year to fix all my cavities that came out of nowhere. Before I had children I saw my primary dr 1-2 a year and I also regularly saw my dentist but during my pregnancies I didn’t go to my Dentist. I have three crowns I am currently making appointments for. I have 3 root canals and ever since I got them done my anxiety and depression worsened. I had never felt this way in my life until I entered the mom phase. ITs exhausting , painful, embarrassing and Im just glad I Have a great Dentist.
