I've been struggling…finally sharing

I’m just been really struggling lately. Things could always be so much worse, but I still thought I’d share some details of what’s been going on. Maybe it’ll make you (or others watching) feel not so alone. Life isn’t perfect and we all deal with something!! I’m so thankful for you all though…truly!!!

Your story sounds so much my own story, having as single difference the fact that for me, it has last 40 years, when I finally had resources and courage to go through a very long and painful process of bone implants, full tooth implants, which I am still healing. All of this does not mean I can eat normally whatever I want. But, it is getting much better than before treatment. One advise is checking your level of vitamin D – in my case, I have a tendency to get very low in vit D and it does make difficult to my body retain all the other essential vitamins and minerals. Apparently, there is a relation with my tooth’s fragility. The story is long, very long and complex, but I wanted you to know that your problem with teeth are way more common than you can imagine. And there are solutions. Stay well.

Sorry that you’re going through that. I understand totally. I had amazing teeth up until I started chemotherapy… after that, my teeth just went super bad. I’m on pain management because of my back too that’s causing even more issues with my teeth.
The worst part of it is, I have medi-cal insurance. They cover basically nothing that would help. And I have no money. Not even close to enough to get a root canal. So I’m stuck with teeth just rotting out from my head and nothing I can do about it. I’ve been called a junkie, accused of being a drug addict, etc because of my teeth and I have never done a drug in my life. Even by my dentist.

I also have been living on soft foods. It’s all saddening. I get it.

I wish you nothing but health and happiness. 💚 I hope you are able to find something that works for your teeth and makes you feel good
