I've been struggling…finally sharing

I’m just been really struggling lately. Things could always be so much worse, but I still thought I’d share some details of what’s been going on. Maybe it’ll make you (or others watching) feel not so alone. Life isn’t perfect and we all deal with something!! I’m so thankful for you all though…truly!!!

Shea, thank you for opening up and sharing your struggles with teeth problems. I’m going through some dental issues myself and I can absolutely relate. One point I would like to make is that you are fortunate to have the means to deal with it. Of course you are going through a lot of physical as well as emotional stress, but imagine not being able to have money to get the best care and ending up wearing dentures. I don’t know if I’m doing a good job cheering you up, but I’m in the situation like this. I cannot afford implants and have not molars left on the bottom. And I went from a great smile and full set of teeth to now being very subconscious and dealing with not functioning well health wise.
Bottom line, count your blessings and keep your head up. There’s no such thing like a perfect life. Dental issues might be very complicated and affect us in many profound ways. I pray for you. Things happen in life for a reason, I think these experiences make as better human beings.

I’m so sorry about what’s happening with you right now. I’m a Dental Assistant (32 yrs now) and I know during pregnancies your teeth/gums can definitely take a turn along with your hormones. I’ve seen it numerous times in my years in the dental field. Because you’ve stated you’ve been quite consistently regular with your dental hygiene appointments, it sounds like something else may be going on with your body. Hopefully whatever it is, it can be determined by your primary care doctor with blood work & tests. I’ll be praying for your healing through it all.
