I've been struggling…finally sharing

I’m just been really struggling lately. Things could always be so much worse, but I still thought I’d share some details of what’s been going on. Maybe it’ll make you (or others watching) feel not so alone. Life isn’t perfect and we all deal with something!! I’m so thankful for you all though…truly!!!

Shea, I can really identify with you. I also have had jaw issues for 9 years. Started with root canals, it wrecked my jaw. I had 4 root canals in 9 months and have suffered ever since. It’s like a constant toothache. I too have a team of good people. The on thing that has helped me is wearing a splint ( mouth guard) at night. I’ve gone to physical therapy as well and acupuncture. I don’t eat anything crunchy either and I chew on one side only. I have a wonderful family and faith as well. But this issue has not been healed. I also can’t sing at church and I love singing. I take Tramaset for pain and it helps too. Chronic pain is hard. I feel for you. Try a night guard if you haven’t already. 🤗 I love your videos.

I’m so sorry to hear this. As a dental hygienist, I get very frustrated when people think all I do is clean teeth. We are like nurses for your mouth. With that being said, your oral health is normally a big indicator of your overall health. It sounds like it is not your teeth that are the problem but an underlying systemic issue and your teeth issues are one of the symptoms (for ex: a grinder having worn down teeth). I’m sure you have consulted many doctors but make sure to see an oral pathologist. Best of luck!
